About us

L&M Gentle Giant Maine Coons is a family-owned, TICA-registered cattery specializing in European-line Maine Coons, with an emphasis on polydactyls. Our kittens are first- and second-generation descendants of pedigreed European imports.


At L&M, we emply responsible, pragmatic, breeding practices and hands-on interaction with children to provide families with healthy, well-socialized, Maine Coon kittens at competitive price points. 


Prior to breeding Maine Coons, we operated a rescue and foster program for mother cats and their litters—a cause that remains close to our hearts. We continue to support animal welfare by donating a percentage of our kitten sales to local rescues and no-kill shelters.


Based in southeast Wisconsin, we serve the midwest and contiguous United States, offering top-notch customer service and white-glove delivery options.

Healthy Maine Coon Breeders.

Preventative & Proactive

At L&M Gentle Giant Maine Coons, we are committed to breeding quality Maine Coons. Our breeders undergo hip dysplasia screenings, in addition to genetic health testing through Wisdom Panel for Breeders, which tests for over 45 genetic disorders common in the breed.  


We take a proactive approach to keeping our animals healthy with quality supplementation programs including products from holistic Vet Dr. Andrew Jones, DMV, Revival, and Animal Biome. 


Kittens are kept healthy by isolating litters from other cats in a clean and safe environment and by ensuring they are socialized in a home setting. Every litter receives comprehensive veterinary care, including vaccinations, health exams, deworming, and FeLV/FIV testing. 


We stand behind our kittens with a two-year health guarantee, reflecting our dedication to their long-term well-being.

      We have been a TICA registered cattery since 2021. 


      Yes, kittens are pedigreed and litters are registered with TICA . Because we do not sell breeding rights, registration papers are provided upon proof of spay or neutering from your vet. Copy of parent pedigrees are provided upon request prior to purchase.


      Kittens can be held with a $300 deposit which goes toward the price of the kitten. Click here to hold a kitten. 

      We have a waitlist for individuals wanting specific kinds of kittens, for example, gender, color, polydactyl or nopolycacty. Those on the waitlist get to choose their kitten in order of deposit and may pass on a litter to wait for another, keeping their place in the queue.

      No, not if we have kittens available. If a kitten is available on our site, that means those on the list have already passed. However, if you are set on specific characteristics in a kitten, you may want to get on the waitlist. The most in demand are males in general, in addition to black smokes and polys. If you want a male that's a black smoke poly, you're the perfect candidate for the waitlist. 

      Yes! Contact us to schedule a visit to our cattery.

      Yes! We offer free delivery within 150 miles of our location, including delivery to your home or a predetermined meeting location. Deliveries farther than 150 miles are offered via ground or air, depending on distance. Pricing will be quoted and agreed upon prior to deliver. Regardless of delivery method, our kittens are accompanied by us personally, or by one of our trusted pet nannies. Kittens will never be transported by a contracted animal transport service.

      Our breeding parents are screened using Wisdom Panel for Breeders Optimal Selection. Breeding cats are kept current on vaccines and exams, and every kitten receives comprehensive veterinary care, including vaccinations, health exams, deworming, and FeLV/FIV testing. Our kittens are backed by a two-year health guarantee on genetic disorders. See our Health Practices for details.

      We take electronic payments via Venmo or Zelle for deposits. Cash or cashiers check is requested at pickup/delivery unless other arrangements have been made. Credit card payments are also accepted. See our payment section.

      Yes, we will take payments prior to delivery/pickup if you prefer to break up your kitten purchase into more manageable payments. However, the kitten must be paid in full prior to pick up/delivery.
